HOW THE SOCCER PLAYER IS PLAYED

The team that kicks off ahs its center forward and its inside right and inside left within the 10-yeard circle in the center of the field. Opponents may not move inside the circle until the center forward has kicked the ball a distance equal to the ball’s circumference (27 inches). He may not kick the ball twice in succession at the kick off. Usually he passes the ball to a teammate. Play is then continuous except for out-of-bounds, fouls, goals, and period endings. International matches are divided into halves, each 45 minutes long.
The game is a contest of maneuvers. Short passes along the ground may be combined with long crosses to the wings, or outside men. Sometimes a backward pass to a halfback or fullback will draw the defense out of passion.

MAKING A KITE

Flying a kite is an interesting activity and making your own kite is easy. Prepare the following materials: butchers cord; scotch tape or glue; one sheet of strong paper; two strong straight wooden stick of bamboo; marker, paint or crayons. After you have prepared the materials, follow the simple direction below:
First, make a cross with the two sticks, with the shorter stick placed horizontally across the longer stick. Then, tie the two sticks together with the string in such a way as to make sure that they are at right angles to each other. Next, cut a notch at each end of the sticks. Make it deep enough for the type of string you are using to fit into. After that, cut a piece of string long enough to stretch all around the kite frame. Then, lay the sail materials flat and place the stick frame face down on top. Cut around it, leaving about 2-3 cm for a margin, fold these edges over and glue it down so that the materials is tight. Make it tail by tying a small ribbon roughly every 10 cm along the length of string. And finally, decorate your kite with marker.
