THE POTTER’S WISH

There once was a man named Fung. He was a potter whose business was only adequate. He knew he would not be getting rich the way things were going. His pots and China were reputed the best, artistic, useful and strong, but he lived in a poor, unpopulated area.
The potter was always improving his product in a style and application, but he could not improve their strength.
One day he became angry after he dropped a mug. And it shattered on the floor.
“Gosh,” he cried, ‘’Dear God, please help me make an unbreakable pot.”
God appeared before him and replied, “you diligence and good heart allow you to make in invincible earth ware.”

With that, the vision disappeared.
The potter looked on the floor to see that the cup had come back together. He picked it up, thought for a moment, and then threw it against the wall. It fell to the floor, undamaged.
Wow,” thought the potter, I’ll be the greatest potter n the world.”
He went to work and sold many containers and flatware, in fact, he was becoming quiet rich.
Slowly but surely, the market dropped until he could no longer sell even a single piece.
The potter realized f the earth ware never breaks; no one would ever need few potteries. He prayed again and begged for forgiveness for making such an ignorant wish.
The next day people were shopping again and the potter went happily back to work.
